Adam Sabaz

Guitarist

It was the winter 1990. Adam was attending his highschool's Christmas Assembly talent show.  A 3 piece band got up on the auditorium's stage and rocked out a killer rendition of Faith No More's “Epic”.  A lightning bolt struck Adam to his core.  “THIS! THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO DO!”

Within a year's time Adam with his best friends formed a band and their first gig was on that very same stage.  It was pure joy.  The audience was intently supportive and the raucous applause still resonates within Adam to this very day.  That band went on to play for years at various clubs, had videos on Muchmusic and released 2 albums.

Ever since, Adam has always been a musician, enjoying every moment to get on stage and perform to fellow music lovers.  Over the many years Adam has had the opportunity to play with many outfits including Julian, Cameron, False Prophets, PJ Wilson, Carlo Capello, Tourist Bureau, Kage and Grandview.  Adam also has been recording music in his home studio producing works for the Grandview.

Adam's latest music endeavor which he's very excited about is with the amazing singer/songwriter Tammy Wilson.

DOUG KYLE

SPECIAL GUEST

I was introduced to music at the age of five while studying at the Orff School of Music in Ottawa, Ontario. Growing up in a home filled with music—thanks to a piano-playing mother and a father with wide-ranging musical tastes—I developed an early appreciation for rhythm, melody, and musical expression. By age eleven, I began studying multiple instruments, including acoustic and classical guitar, mandolin, and percussion.

Throughout my school years, I performed extensively in stage band, concert band, and Dixieland ensembles, as well as at festivals and live events. At fourteen, I joined a Country & Western and Bluegrass band, performing regularly in bars and clubs for nearly five years. I also became involved in church music as a choir member and conductor, an experience that deepened my appreciation for the blend of voices and instruments in a spiritual setting.

Alongside performing, I spent nearly twenty years teaching private lessons in guitar, mandolin, and percussion to students aged seven to seventy. I have since played with numerous folk, Americana, bluegrass, and traditional groups, performing at concerts, festivals, and private events. Currently, I perform with my church choir, the Thunder Bay Trad musicians, and as part of a dynamic songwriting duo with Wilson Sabaz, performing original music and select covers across multiple genres.

Tony Agostino

Special Guest

Tony Agostino is a native of Thunder Bay and began his musical training at the age of twelve with guitar studies in the genres of folk, classical and rock to follow. His studies and experiences have afforded him opportunities to pass his knowledge on to his own students, and to perform with various bands and groups in Thunder Bay over the years, in both secular and sacred settings. He has recorded and performed with Rita Chiarelli and other Canadian musicians and co-founded local group Flamenco Caravan in 1999. Tony is a co-writer and performer of all Flamenco Caravan’s original music. Tony’s eclectic musical experiences and fine sensibility combine perfectly with his love of creating and performing beautiful, lyrical guitar melodies.

Henry Saurez

Special Guest

Beginning on the drums and surrounded by music from an early age, Henry quickly discovered his musical calling on the bass guitar. His journey began as the bassist in bands throughout high school and college including Reel Audio Wave Transfer and The Well. He then formed Cissell Tumbler, an instrumental 3-piece act that went on to pack venues and win several band wars on the local music scene. Today, Henry embraces a new challenge, showcasing his musical range as the rythum guitar player for Tourist Bureau. With years of experience and a deep love for music, Henry continues to explore new sounds and new collaborations, leaving a lasting impact through his musical contributions. Now, with Wilson-Sabaz, he continues to evolve and inspire within the music community along side  other dedicated musicians.
